Located a little over an hour or less from most of the Greater Toronto Area and close to the towns of Little Britain, Port Perry, Lindsay, and Uxbridge, this cottage is a near-North gem.
This all-season, three-bedroom waterfront cottage is the retreat you deserve. Spacious and inviting, it promises to bring balance to your life and peace to your mind. Wake up to the sound of the wind, water, and birds singing. Bask in the sunlight on the deck, relax in the swimming pool overlooking the lake, or take a ride on a kayak or canoe. Enjoy dinner with family and friends around the table, have fun playing board games or foosball, and fish directly off the property at Lake Scugog. Our newly renovated lakefront cottage offers magical sunrises and sunsets over Lake Scugog. Gather around the beautiful fire pit for storytelling, stargazing, and watching the moonlight track across the water. Ideal for 2-3 families or 8-10 adults, this cottage includes a swimming pool, BBQ, fire pit, fully equipped kitchen, laundry room, Bluetooth speaker, high-speed Wi-Fi, OLED TV, and central cooling and heating. It’s the perfect setting for family and friends to spend time together in a space designed for relaxation and entertainment.

Cottage Policies and Guidelines
House Rules and Policies
Our cottage is family-oriented. To ensure a pleasant stay for everyone and respect for our neighbors, please adhere to the following rules:- No big parties or events
- No outside noise after 11 pm
- No smoking inside the cottage or on the premises (please do not toss cigarette butts on the property)
- No additional guests outside of those included in the booking.
- No feminine/baby products (tampons, pads, diapers, wipes) or any garbage into the toilet, as the house is on a septic tank with a daily limit.
Recommendations and Etiquette
- Bring indoor shoes or slippers
- Use bins for disposing of toilet paper to minimize septic tank use
- Conserve water as much as possible
- Return items to their original place after use
- Turn off appliances and lights when not in use
- Clean up any messes you make
- Respect check-in and check-out times
- Avoid eating or drinking in the bedrooms
- Adhere to the noise curfew
Swimming Pool
- The swimming pool accommodates up to 6 people.
- Always replace the pool cover after use. Never leave it uncovered when not in use.
- Please wear only bathing suits. Regular clothing can create excess foam in the pool.
- No food or drinks in the pool, except for plastic bottles with water. Avoid dropping objects, especially cigarettes, lemon/lime slices, or paper towels, as they can clog the circulation pipes.
- If the pipes or filters become clogged, maintenance costs will be deducted from your damage/security deposit.
- Do not turn off the pool’s power button; it must run overnight automatically.
- After each use, place one chlorine tablet in the bucket attached to the pool. Chlorine tablets are available in the shed.
Garbage
- Place garbage in provided bags and store them in the two large garbage bins outside, at the shed end of the driveway, to prevent animal interference. Keep the garbage area clean.
- Dispose of all garbage before you leave to avoid a $100 fee.
Plumbing/Septic System
- Only flush bodily waste materials and toilet paper. Do not flush feminine/baby products (tampons, pads, diapers, wipes).
- Avoid putting solid waste materials or grease down the sink drains.
Water
- The cottage uses drilled well water, which is safe for drinking, cooking, and daily use. The water is filtered (UV filter/Water softener) and drinkable. You may bring your own drinking water if preferred.
Outdoor Firepit
- Small campfires are permitted as per the Ministry of Natural Resources. Adhere to local fire bans, especially during dry/fire seasons.
- Do not burn plastic, tin cans, glass, or other non-combustible items. Always extinguish your fire with plenty of water before leaving it unattended or going to bed.
No Extra Guests/Parties
- Additional guests must have prior permission from the owner.
- This is a family-oriented cottage; no big parties or events. Respect the noise curfew (no outside noise after 11 pm).
Damage Deposit
- A refundable $1000 damage deposit is required. It will be returned upon your departure.
- A $100 fee will be deducted from your deposit for any garbage left behind to cover disposal costs.
The Lake
- The lake is man-made and its water levels may vary, affecting boat docking and other activities. The lake is mostly weedy due to its man-made nature.
Landscape
- The landscape is subject to change due to natural elements like rain, water, snow, ice, and wind. There may be differences from the property pictures.
Drugs
- Illegal drug use or possession will result in immediate eviction and notification to authorities. Please respect our property and keep it clean before you leave.
Kawartha Lakes Bylaw
- In accordance with the Kawartha Lakes Bylaw, no parties and no outside noise are allowed after 11 pm and before 11 am. Violations may result in police involvement and eviction without a refund.
